Bio Diesel Fuel (Kaitlin Thomassen), will be presenting an informational poster on biodiesel, an alternative energy source to diesel fuel, and its many benefits to society and the environment.

CAS Dining Services (Ginny Geer-Mentry, Director of Dining Services & Becky Stewart, Marketing Coordinator) will be sharing information on what Dining Services is doing to promote sustainability and how your contributions to sustainability can save you money.

CAS and Mac Gray - Green Laundry will be displaying how high efficiency washers and dryers have saved Geneseo over 260,000 gallons of water since the beginning of fall 2007.  What can you do to increase the amount of energy and water saved?

CAS and Waste Management (Al Valcone) will share information on how tons of waste are collected from the SUNY Geneseo campus each week. You will have a chance to test your recycling knowledge and see if you are recycling everything you can.

College Union and Activities (Chip Matthews, Director College Union & Activities; Suzanne Sharp, Coordinator Student Organizations & Campus Activities; Carey Backman, Assistant Director of College Union) will provide student organizations creative ways to run "green" programs as well as effective "green" publicity ideas and hopefully decrease the amount of flyers and paper used on campus. Brochures on the International Dark-Sky Association will also be available to encourage people to preserve and protect the nighttime environment and our heritage of dark skies through quality outdoor lighting.

College Union and Activities Geneseo Late Knight (Karen Clark, Late Knight Coordinator) will showcase their green advertising initiative this semester, along with having a "Make & Take Station." Students will have an opportunity to make simple crafts out of recycled materials.

Environmental Impact and Sustainability Task Force (Kirk Spangler, Chair) is offering a light bulb exchange for on-campus residents. Students who bring one incandescent light bulb to the Task Force Table at the Live Green Expo will receive a new energy efficient light bulb that will reduce energy consumption on the campus.The bulb exchange is available to students who live in the dormitories and one bulb will be given per room. Also, students are asked to bring their ID's with them when they come to exchange a lightbulb. After LiveGreen, the bulb exchange will continue going door to door.

Gardenburger (CAS Vendor, Kelly Tressler) will be demonstrating different vegetarian options and the impact a vegetarian diet has on the environment.

General Motors Fuel Cell Research (Jerry Fly, Engineer) will be sharing information on the research and development of automobile fuel cell technology that is underway at the research center in Honeoye Falls, New York.

Genesee Valley Conservancy (Ben Gajewski, Stewardship Director) will be sharing information on land conservation efforts in the Genesee Valley and helping people learn about the land trust movement

Geneseo Environmental Organization [GEO, Alicia Kowski, President] Geo will have two tables.  The first will consist of two or three posters. The posters will include ways students can be sustainable in their own lives, GEO initiatives and Geo's Electricity and Water Conservation Contest.  The table will also have a spreadsheet of all the presidential candiates and their positions on environmental issues. The second table will survey the students about paying a green fee and they will have a setup launching their anti bottled water campaign.

Geneseo Food Project (GFP) will be displaying information on its two recently launched initiatives: (1) the Geneseo Community Garden and (2) the Geneseo Institute for the Study of Food, Justice, and the Environment. The GFP was established to model an environmentally and socially sustainable food system on campus and to explore the relationships between food, environmental sustainability, and social justice in the wider world.

Geology Club (Patrick Donohue, President) will host a recycling center where expo participants will be able to exchange their recyclables for small polished rocks instead of just putting them in the recycling bin. Whoever brings the most recyclables will be eligible for a geode grand prize.

Horizon Wind & Energy (Anne Humphrey, President) will be sharing information on harnessing wind for energy in Western New York.

In.Site Architecture (Ali Yapicioglu and Dave Matthews, Architects) will be sharing information on sustainable design and construction.

Johnston Paper (CAS Vendor, Jerome Patterson) CAS has switched from styrofoam and nonremovable plastic "to go" containers to paper and compostable containers, saving over 20 cases a week of non-compostable product from ending up in the landfill.  Learn more about these new products and watch as the company representative demonstrates how they decompose.

Livingston County Chamber of Commerce (Cynthia Oswald, President) is one of the cosponsors of the Live Green program and will have a table to share information about efforts to live green in Livingston County.

Monroe Litho (Davis Frame, Account Executive, and Tony Harris, VP of Sales) As of June 5, 2006, 100 percent of Monroe Litho's electricity comes from clean, renewable, wind-generated sources. The company has signed a contract to purchase approximately 1.8 million kilowatt hours of power each year. At the expo, they plan to show sustainable print media samples and provide further information.

RT Solutions (Tom Herlihy, President) will be sharing information on earthworms composting technology that is used for certified organic/environmentally friendly products from agricultural wastes such as manure. The firm operates the largest earthwork composting facility in Avon, New York.

Sigma Gamma Epsilon Geology Honorary (Kelly Howe, President) will be promoting "Spring Break: Go Green" to educate people on carbon-burning and the need for carbon sequestering and collecting donations to purchase carbon credits to offset the co2 emissions resulting from travel associated with spring break.

Wegmans (Tim Mahan, Group Manager, Nature's Marketplace. Jason Wadsworth, Manager, Wegmans Corporate Sustainability) will be sharing information on how the company is helping consumers live more green using local farm products and other more sustainable products.

White Wave (CAS Vendor, Mark Kauffman) will have samples of Silk Soy Milk and share information on how this organic product can keep you and the earth healthy.
