SPEAKER BIO: Kristin Skarie is President of Teamworks, a national team building and leadership development consulting company. She is a speaker, author, educator and entrepreneur with 29 years of experience in higher education administration, organization development and small business advancement. Her background in student affairs includes residence life, student activities, orientation and leadership development in the US, the UK, Malaysia and South Africa. In addition to working with hundreds of universities, hospitals and companies, she is a Co-Lead Facilitator for the LeaderShape Institute, a Trainer for the National Coalition Building Institute, Vice President of the American College Personnel Association Foundation. Kristin heading to Semester at Sea in Summer of 2014 as a Resident Director and Academic Success Coordinator. Kristin is a Pencil Partner Volunteer with the Rochester City School District and a regular guest on FoxRochester's "Good Day Rochester". Her recent book, "A Year of Nothing New - Tools for Living Lean and Green" chronicles a year of conscious consumption and local-vore living resulting in a realignment of how she spends her money, time and energy. Kristin received her Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education from the University of Wisconsin and her Master’s of Science in Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University.
